A drill-free set mounts on adhesive pads instead of screws, which is the whole point of it: nothing is drilled, so tiles, stone and sealed surfaces are left as they were. That makes the set a natural fit for rented flats, for bathrooms that are not being refitted, and for DIY retail, where the customer wants to fit the pieces without tools.
The adhesive works on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as tile, glass or metal. It will not hold on plaster, brick, painted board or any textured finish, and that limit is stated on the box rather than left to the customer to find out. Weight is the other limit: adhesive mounting carries less than a bolted fixing, so the heavier pieces in the set, the towel bar above all, are supplied with screws for a fixed mounting.
The rest of the set is built the same way as a standard one, in 304 stainless steel or the material specified, in finishes from polished chrome to matte black and brushed gold.
