The towel bar is the piece that carries the most weight in a bathroom, which is why it is the one usually fixed with expansion bolts even in a set that mounts on adhesive elsewhere.
It is supplied in 24 in (about 600 mm) as standard, single or double bar, with 400, 500 and 600 mm lengths for markets that work in metric. The double bar gives two hanging heights in the same footprint, which suits a shared bathroom or a bath where two towels are in use at once.
