Thermal Break, Integrated Blinds & Security Mesh Window
Windows built around one of three upgrades: a thermal break in the profile, blinds sealed inside the glass or stainless steel mesh built into the frame.
Thermal break
A non conductive strip set inside the profile separates the inner and outer faces, so heat does not travel straight through the metal.
Blinds inside the glass
The blind sits sealed inside the cavity of the double-glazed unit, where dust cannot reach it and it needs no cleaning.
Mesh built in
A stainless steel mesh panel set into the frame, for insects and for a barrier across the opening.
- Thermal break
- Insulating strip set within the profile to interrupt the thermal bridge
- Integrated blinds
- Blind sealed within the cavity of the double-glazed unit; no cleaning, and it shades the opening
- Security mesh
- Stainless steel mesh set into the window frame as one unit, for insects and as a barrier
- Wall thickness
- Up to 2.0–3.0 mm for commercial and high-rise projects
- Glass
- Double-glazed as the common build-up, for example two 5 mm panes with a cavity; Low-E available
- Profile alloy
- Aluminium 6063-T5, the common architectural grade
- MOQ
- 2–10 m²
This range covers three upgrades that are specified for different reasons, and each one solves a problem the standard window does not.
The thermal break is about heat. An aluminium profile conducts, so in a cold climate the inner face of a single skin profile stays close to the temperature outside and collects condensation. A non conductive strip set inside the profile separates the inner and outer faces, and the window stops acting as a bridge between inside and out.
Blinds integrated into the glass are about the opening. The blind sits inside the cavity of the double-glazed unit, sealed away from dust and from the surfaces a hand would touch, so it never needs cleaning and cannot be damaged by the weather. It came into demand in the Middle East and South East Asia as a way to shade a large opening without an external blind.
Security mesh is about the barrier. A stainless steel mesh panel is built into the frame as one unit rather than added as a separate screen, which keeps insects out and puts a physical barrier across the opening.
Wall thickness runs up to the 2.0 to 3.0 mm corner of the range for commercial and high-rise projects, and glazing is normally double, for example two 5 mm panes with a cavity, with Low-E available.
Tell us which of the three you need, the opening size, the glass build-up and the quantity, and we will quote the order.
