A knob fixes through a single hole, which makes it the practical choice for small cabinet doors where a bar pull would be out of proportion: bathroom-style wall units, drawer banks and doors under a sink.
Diameters run from about 1 in to 1.5 in (25 to 38 mm), and the knob is normally specified to match the bar pulls in the same kitchen, in the same finish, so the run reads as one set. Knobs are also where a design range usually carries its decorative pieces: ceramic, leather and wood variants sit here rather than on the bar pulls.
The body is zinc alloy or aluminium as standard, with stainless steel, brass, carbon steel, ceramic and leather available, in the same finish range as the pulls.
