Backlit Translucent Island
A translucent stone panel over an LED layer, so the surface carries its own light. Built for hotel lobbies, bars and feature kitchens.
Stone that lights up
A translucent quartzite or crystal stone panel with a dimmable LED layer behind it, so the veining is lit from within.
Low-voltage system
A low-voltage lighting layer runs behind the panel, with the driver and wiring planned into the base.

A backlit island is built around a panel that light passes through. The stone is a translucent quartzite or crystal stone; behind it sits a layer of low-voltage LED; in front of it the veining appears lit from inside the slab rather than reflected from the surface.
How the light behaves depends on the panel thickness and on how evenly it is spread. Thicker panels give a calmer, more even glow; thinner panels are brighter but show the light source more readily. The lighting layer, the driver and the cabling all need room, so the base and the floor supply are planned together with the panel.
As with any electrical fitting, the voltage and the ingress protection are confirmed per project. Tell us the panel size, the light colour you have in mind, and how the island will be used, and we will set out the build.
