An outdoor kitchen island has to survive weather an indoor one never sees. Sintered stone is non-porous, so it does not take in water, and it holds its colour under UV. That makes it a practical surface for a run that stays outside all year.
The island itself is assembled from modules: a grill, a sink, a worktop section, storage and a side bar. The module list decides the run length and the position of the gas, water and power supplies, so the layout is settled before the frame is built.
