Concealed Shower Set

The valve sits inside the wall and only the face plate shows, for a wall that reads as one clean surface. Common in hotels and high-end residential work.

    The valve body goes into the wall behind a face plate, so no pipework or handles sit proud of the tile.

  • Rough-in box supplied

    A brass valve body with a ceramic or thermostatic cartridge, mounted in a box set into the wall.

  • Two or three outlets

    Rain head, hand shower and, where specified, a bath spout.

A concealed shower set puts the valve inside the wall and leaves only a face plate on the surface. Nothing stands proud of the tile, no riser and no exposed pipework, which is why the arrangement is common in hotels and in bathrooms where the wall is meant to read as one clean plane.

The valve body is brass with a ceramic or thermostatic cartridge, and it mounts in a rough-in box set into the wall. Because the working parts are inside, the wall has to be built for it: the depth, the position of the box and the runs to the rain head and hand shower are all fixed before the wall is closed. On retrofit projects we confirm the wall build-up first, since a wall without the box in it cannot simply be adapted later.

The set can be specified with two or three outlets. Tell us the wall construction, the outlet positions and the finish, and whether the plate has to suit an existing cut-out, and we will set out the rough-in.
