A smart shower system does everything a thermostatic set does, and shows you what it is doing. A digital display on the panel reads the water temperature, so the setting can be adjusted before anyone steps under it, and LED colour light or Bluetooth audio can be built into the rain head or the control panel.
Temperature is held by a thermostatic cartridge and shown on the display. The display and light modules run on a battery or an adapter, and because the electronics sit in the wet zone, the waterproofing and the supply arrangement are agreed before production rather than after.
