What Defines It
The Majlis is a dedicated formal reception room rather than a television lounge: continuous low seating runs along the walls, with gold-trimmed bolsters instead of high-backed sofas. Pointed arch niches are set in rows, with gypsum carving and mashrabiya timber screens.
Floors are fully carpeted with patterned rugs layered over, so hard flooring is rarely exposed. The palette is cream and beige against deep teal or burgundy, with brass and gold detailing throughout, and large pierced metal chandeliers.
The contemporary Gulf line runs minimal and luxurious: full-height marble walls, metal trim lines and seamless large-format stone, on cream, warm sand and warm grey with brushed brass. Full-height glazing connects to courtyards and reflecting pools.
Brass tea services in the dallah form and gold trays are part of the Majlis setting.
