What Defines It
The tropical line uses saturated colour such as terracotta, cobalt and mustard, combined with rattan and cane furniture, warm timber and hand-painted cement tile. The plan opens to the outside through a veranda, an internal pátio courtyard and full-height louvred shutters.
Timber louvred shutters, timber beam ceilings and clay roof tiles are recurring structural elements. Large tropical planting is part of the room rather than an accessory.
The southern cone line follows European immigrant tradition: high ceilings, long entrance halls, plaster cornice, herringbone oak parquet, marble worktops and dark solid timber. Colour stays in ivory, pale oak and deep muted green with aged brass.
Furniture in this line runs heavy and dark, with velvet or leather armchairs rather than light frames.
